The month of February in our 2023 12 Months of Caring calendar is our friends at MentorStark. We had the honor of working with MentorStark and helped mentor a young man that was interested in Graphic Design. We still keep in contact with him to this day.

MentorStark is located in downtown Canton.

A Little More About MentorStark
We know that the presence of trusted adults enhances the lives of young people. Formal and informal mentors play an important role in helping young people develop the social-emotional skills, confidence, character and connections that equip them to reach their goals and dreams. There are so many quality mentoring and youth development programs in Stark County. Our goal is to create a more connected community by promoting the mentoring movement and getting more youth and trusted adults involved in the many programs that provide support for our young people.

As youth transition to becoming young adults (ages 15-27), our MentorStark Opportunity Club helps them explore careers and build a professional network to support them on their career pathways. Our Club members participate in our “Inside Look” program, which features visits to local employers, job shadowing opportunities, and conversations with local professionals. We welcome mentors and employer partners who are interested in hosting or meeting with our Opportunity Club members.
