Five decades of commercial printing in Canton, Ohio, built on family, service, quality and innovation

Fifty years in business is more than an anniversary. It is a story of relationships built, technology embraced, challenges met and generations committed to serving customers well.

In 2026, Pinnacle Press Inc. is proud to celebrate 50 years as a family-owned commercial printing company in Canton, Ohio, and even more proud to look toward the future with a third generation preparing to carry the business forward.

Since 1976, Pinnacle Press has helped businesses, organizations, marketers, graphic designers and purchasing professionals turn ideas into tangible, professional print materials. While the equipment, technology and the way customers order print have changed dramatically over five decades, the foundation of Pinnacle Press has remained remarkably consistent: responsive service, fast turnarounds, affordable quality and personal attention.

From a Canton Printing Business to Pinnacle Press

The Pinnacle Press story began in 1976 when entrepreneur Bob Kettlewell, an experienced manager in the forms printing industry, founded Company Forms & Papers in Canton, Ohio. What started as one man’s vision would become a multi-generational family business with roots firmly planted in Northeast Ohio.

Bob’s daughter, Vicky Sterling, joined the company in 1983 and helped the business evolve into a four-color commercial printing company. In 1996, the company was renamed Pinnacle Press Inc., a name chosen to reflect its commitment to reaching the highest level of print quality and customer service.

Vicky took sole ownership of Pinnacle Press in 2019 and continued moving the company forward, expanding its capabilities in digital printing and mail services while preserving the customer-focused approach that had been part of the company from the beginning.

Celebrating 50 Years With Third-Generation Leadership on the Horizon

One of the most exciting parts of Pinnacle Press’s 50th anniversary is that the company’s story is still being written by the same family. Vicky’s daughter, Brooke, is being mentored as the third generation of family ownership, with plans to help lead Pinnacle Press into its next era.

That next chapter includes continuing to strengthen Pinnacle Press’s traditional commercial printing capabilities while expanding convenient ways for customers to do business, including e-commerce and storefront solutions. Third-generation leadership brings an opportunity to honor the values that built Pinnacle Press while continuing to evolve with the needs of today’s businesses.

“Reaching our 50th anniversary is incredibly meaningful because it represents generations of hard work, relationships and trust,” said Vicky Sterling, Owner of Pinnacle Press Inc. “I am especially proud that our family story continues into a third generation. We can celebrate where we have been while also looking ahead to new technology, new services and new ways to make printing easier for our customers.”

Commercial Printing Services Built for Today’s Businesses

Pinnacle Press has grown far beyond its beginnings in forms printing. Today, the company provides full-service digital and offset printing from its Canton facility, giving customers options for projects ranging from short-run, quick-turnaround pieces to larger commercial print quantities requiring precise color control and consistent quality.

Digital printing allows Pinnacle Press to efficiently produce shorter runs, variable data projects and fast-turnaround materials. The company’s digital capabilities support vibrant color, customized information, consecutive numbering, direct-mail projects and wide-format applications.

For larger quantities and projects requiring dependable color reproduction, Pinnacle Press offers offset printing using its five-color Heidelberg press. A fully digital pre-press workflow helps support professional production while keeping quality, timing and print costs in focus.

More Than Printing: Fulfillment, Mailing and Wide-Format Capabilities

For many customers, the job does not end when ink reaches paper. Pinnacle Press also provides value-added services that help businesses manage a print project from production through delivery. Services include inserting, assembling, packaging, fulfillment, distribution and mailing.

Pinnacle Press also offers wide-format printing and produces a broad range of business and marketing materials, including brochures, business cards, booklets, catalogs, direct-mail pieces, envelopes, folders, forms, labels, newsletters, postcards, point-of-purchase materials, posters, signage and sell sheets.

By bringing multiple printing and finishing capabilities together, Pinnacle Press gives customers one local resource for projects that might otherwise require several different vendors.

A Northeast Ohio Printing Company With Nationwide Capabilities

Pinnacle Press is proud to call Canton, Ohio home. The company serves customers throughout Northeast Ohio, including Canton, Akron and Cleveland, while its printing, fulfillment and mailing capabilities allow it to work with businesses and organizations throughout the United States.

For local companies, working with a Canton commercial printer provides something that can be difficult to duplicate through a large online printing platform: direct access to experienced people who understand the project, can answer questions and can help guide a job from file preparation through final delivery.

Why Relationships Still Matter in Commercial Printing

Printing technology has transformed since 1976, but Pinnacle Press believes customer service remains just as important as the equipment producing the job. A brochure, postcard, catalog, sign or direct-mail piece is more than paper and ink. It is a physical representation of a business and its brand.

That is why attentive print project management continues to be central to the Pinnacle Press approach. Customers need a printing partner that understands deadlines, brand consistency, budgets and the importance of getting the details right. For 50 years, Pinnacle Press has worked to be that partner.

50 Years Down. The Next 50 Are Just Beginning.

A 50th anniversary naturally creates an opportunity to look back, but at Pinnacle Press, this milestone is equally about what comes next. The company’s first five decades were shaped by entrepreneurship, family leadership, changing technology and a commitment to its customers. Its next five decades will build on that foundation.

As Pinnacle Press moves forward with third-generation ownership on the horizon, the goal is not simply to preserve a legacy. It is to continue earning it, one project, one deadline and one customer relationship at a time.

To everyone who has trusted Pinnacle Press with a business card, brochure, catalog, direct-mail campaign, sign, form, newsletter or any other print project during the past 50 years: thank you for being part of our story. We are proud of the first 50 years, and we cannot wait to show you what comes next.
